Today, I will show you how to install Oranchelo, a good looking flat with long shadow effect icon theme for Linux desktop including Arch, Fedora and RPM-based and Ubuntu and derivatives just like Linux Mint.

Basically, Oranchelo is a flat design and flat with long shadow effect icon theme for XFCE4 based on Super Flat Remix and inspired by "Corny icons" by Patryk Goworowski.

Installing Oranchelo on Ubuntu and Derivatives

Oranchelo available for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr, 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, 15.04 Vivid Vervet, 15.10 Wily Werewolf, 16.04 Xenial Xerus, and Ubuntu derivatives system e.g Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, 17.2 Rafaela, 17.3 Rosa, 18 Sarah.

Please ensure you have installed Unity Tweak Tool to change the Icon and theme on Ubuntu.

Step 1 - Open new terminal window, then add this PPA into the system

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oranchelo/oranchelo-icon-theme

Step 2 - Run the update to re-sinc the local repository index :

sudo apt-get update

Step 3 - Next, run the following command to install Oranchelo

sudo apt-get install oranchelo-icon-theme

Now open the Unity Tweak Tool from Ubuntu dash, head to Icons -> Choose and set the icon. Cheersss!

Installing Oranchelo on Arch and Derivatives

Arch based Linux distribution, you can install Oranchelo from AUR using the following command :

yaourt oranchelo-icon-theme-git

How to Uninstall Oranchelo Icon Theme

To uninstall the Oranchelo icon theme that installed via PPA, simply run the commands below from terminal window :

sudo apt-get remove oranchelo-icon-theme
sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:oranchelo/oranchelo-icon-theme
