Linuxslaves.com - I have a 4 GB FAT32 USB stick. It was a Debian USB drive before I deleted the partition using Gparted and created a new FAT32 partition.

When I tried to copy anything to the USB drive, it gave me Error while copying to blablabla. The destination is read-only.

Thanks to askubuntu, I finally found the solution. Ah ya, this confirmed as a bug. To fix the issue, simply open terminal and kill the file manager.
For those who use Nautilus :
killall nautilus
For those who use Nemo :
killall nemo
Now copy and paste works flawlessly.
That's it. These were all to fix cannot copy the file because the destination is read only in Ubuntu 14.04 / 16.04 / 18.04. Thanks for reading!.
